ANDOVER, MA – Emphasizing that Dan Koh will be a “strong progressive voice in Congress,” Chair of the Pepperell Democratic Town Committee Tom McGrath today endorsed Dan Koh in the Third District congressional race. McGrath has served as Chair of the Pepperell DTC since 2001 and has been a member of the Massachusetts Democratic State Committee since 2004. McGrath, a longtime activist for LGBT rights, also served as Treasurer of the Bay State Stonewall Democrats from 2001 to January 2018. McGrath is endorsing Dan in his personal capacity.
“I am supporting Dan because he will be a strong progressive voice in Congress,” said McGrath. “We need leaders who will stand up to this President’s dangerous policies and fight for our democratic values. Dan has a track record of achieving real progressive results, and he will make a great Congressman for the Third District.”
“I am so honored to have Tom’s endorsement,” said Koh. “Tom has been on the frontlines in the fight to make sure that everyone is treated equally under the law. Right now, LGBT rights are under attack across the country. I strongly oppose the ballot initiative to roll back protections for transgender individuals in Massachusetts, and as Congressman, I will fight back against this President’s anti-LGBT agenda. All people should be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.”
