ANDOVER, MA – Local 4 of the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) today endorsed Dan Koh in the race for the 3rd Congressional District. IUOE Local 4 represents over 5,000 members, including heavy equipment operators, apprentices, mechanics, surveyors, equipment house employees, as well as waste water technicians and certain public sector employees.
“Dan Koh cares about the issues that the working men and women of Local 4 care about – quality affordable health care, good jobs at good wages, and protecting workers’ rights at a time they are under attack,” said William D. McLaughlin, Business Manager, IUOE Local 4. “We are proud to offer our support for Dan because we know he will stand and fight for the values and the priorities that workers of the 3rd District share.”
“I want to thank Local 4 for this honor and their trust,” said Koh. “The members of Local 4 spend every working day building a better future for communities throughout the 3rd and the Commonwealth,” said Koh. “They know that I will stand up for them and their families as we fight for better health care, quality public education, and secure retirements while fighting against those who try to turn the clock back on workers’ rights.”
