ANDOVER, MA – Emphasizing that Dan Koh will “fight for working families,” the International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) Local 4 today endorsed Koh in the race for the 3rd Congressional District. IUEC Local 4 represents over 1,000 members and is the fourth union endorsement for Koh: Koh’s campaign has also recently been endorsed by IBEW Local 96, Building Wreckers Local 1421, and Operating Engineers Local 4.
“We are supporting Dan because of his commitment to fight for working families,” said Business Manager of IUEC Local 4 David Morgan. “Our members know that Dan will work to strengthen unions, increase workplace protections, protect collective bargaining rights, and expand economic opportunity. Dan’s recently-released jobs plan underscores that he is dedicated to building an economy that works for everyone.”
“I am so grateful to have Local 4’s support,” said Koh. “Unions like Local 4 are integral to making sure that we’re generating good-paying jobs in an economy built for everyone. The Democratic Party needs to listen to workers and be the party of jobs again. That’s why I rolled out a detailed policy plan to create jobs and raise wages in the Third District. Economic development will be one of my top priorities in Congress.”
