ANDOVER, MA – Today, AFSCME Local 1730 endorsed Dan Koh in the Third District congressional race. Local 1730 represents close to 1,200 members and is the eighteenth union endorsement that Koh has received. Koh is the only candidate to have been endorsed by an AFSCME local. He has also earned endorsements from AFSCME Local 1703 and Local 1705.
“I am so honored to have the support of AFSCME Local 1703, 1705, and 1730,” said Koh. “We need to stand up for working families and fight back against Republican attacks against public sector unions like AFSCME. In Congress, I will fight tooth and nail to preserve collective bargaining rights and strengthen workplace protections.”
“Dan is an inspiring young leader, and we are excited to help him become the next Congressman for the Third District,” said Dianne Lackiram, President of Local 1730. “We need leaders in Washington that will unequivocally fight for union households. Our members know that Dan will work to guarantee healthcare as a right and create an economy where everyone can get ahead. We are proud to endorse Dan.”
